Situation

Cricket Wireless competitor T-Mobile agreed to a multiyear, multimillion dollar naming rights deal for the new $375 million arena on the Las Vegas Strip. Cricket wanted to capture share of voice from the competitor during the T-Mobile Arena grand opening.

Strategy

The social media team created a Cricket branded Snapchat filter geo-fenced to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in order to disrupt the T-Mobile Arena marketing space during headline concerts.

Results

Cricket filter was viewed 13,637 times (views of snaps that include the filter) and used 108 times in the T-Mobile Arena during The Killers and Nicki Minaj concert
