Situation

ThinkGeek, a top retailer in geek culture, wanted to generate web site traffic and engage their loyal customer base and Star Trek fans, while driving conversation surrounding the Star Trek 50th Anniversary.

Strategy

Max Borges Agency combined Star Wars with another hot trend in geek culture– Corgis – to create a highly sharable video of Corgis in iconic Star Trek scenes with ThinkGeek products. We seeded the video with top media outlets, social press and social media influencers to maximize video views and shares.

Results

  • 400% increase in web traffic and 57% increase in page likes during the campaign week
