Situation

France-based Withings sought out to launch the World’s first Internet connected body scale in the U.S., targeted to fitness buffs and technology junkies.
Withings looked to create a new category of connected product, while establishing the brand as a lifestyle tech company essential to the Internet of Things.

Strategy

MBA used it’s media relations muscle to secure more than 30 embargoed product reviews in notable technology websites and publications prior to launching the Withings WiFi Body Scale.

With the foundation and credibility established amongst the technology community, the agency then targeted fitness and general consumer / lifestyle publications through a series of in-person media tours and a product reviews program.
